This kitchen cabinet refinishing project in Los Angeles, California transformed a traditional oak kitchen into a vibrant and modern two-tone space using professional spray cabinet painting.
The original cabinets were solid oak with a natural wood finish. While the cabinets were structurally in great condition, the homeowner wanted to update the look of the kitchen without the high cost of replacing the cabinetry.
Our team completed a full cabinet refinishing process that included cleaning, sanding, surface repairs, and the application of high-adhesion bonding primers. All cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and frames were then professionally spray finished to achieve a smooth and durable satin coating.
The kitchen was redesigned using a two-tone color scheme. The upper cabinets were refinished in a soft powder blue tone that brightens the room and reflects natural light from the skylights. The lower cabinets were finished in a deeper navy blue, creating contrast and giving the kitchen a modern designer appearance.
The combination of light and dark blue cabinetry adds depth to the space while still complementing the existing countertops, flooring, and stainless steel appliances. The result is a bold but balanced kitchen design that feels both contemporary and welcoming.
