This kitchen cabinet painting project in Sherman Oaks, California focused on transforming classic brown wood cabinetry into a brighter and more modern kitchen space using professional spray finishing techniques.

The original kitchen featured traditional stained wood cabinets that gave the space a darker and more dated appearance. Instead of replacing the cabinets, the homeowner chose a professional cabinet refinishing solution, allowing the existing cabinetry to be renewed while maintaining its solid construction.

Our team completed a full kitchen cabinet repainting and refinishing project including detailed preparation, surface sanding, priming, and professional spray application.

Only the perimeter kitchen cabinets were refinished in this project, while the kitchen island and crown moulding were intentionally left in their original wood finish to create a stylish contrast and accent within the space.

The cabinets were painted in Mountain Peak, a modern slightly creamy white tone that brightens the kitchen and pairs perfectly with the client’s newly installed black cylindrical cabinet pulls.

Through careful masking and professional spray finishing, the cabinetry achieved a smooth, factory-like finish that significantly updated the look of the kitchen without the cost of replacing the cabinets.

The result is a clean, modern kitchen design that feels brighter, more open, and refreshed while preserving the character of the original cabinetry.
